The story

Built in the trades. Run like a business.

Exclusive Resin Supply is owned by Mario Castaneda, a licensed installer who stocks the shelf with the systems his own crews put down. Chris runs the store, and the phone gets answered by people who have poured the product.

Mario's story

From his grandfather's floors to his own shelf.

Mario Castaneda comes from a family rooted in the trades. Epoxy was part of his life early: his grandfather showed him how much the right materials can do when they are paired with real craftsmanship.

Before coatings became his business, Mario built a career in business growth, sales and operations. He brought that back to the work he grew up around and founded Exclusive Resins in 2021, an install company built on the craftsmanship of a small family shop and the systems of a well-run business.

Years of hands-on work came with expensive lessons: products that did not bond, topcoats that yellowed, a slab that pushed moisture through a perfect-looking floor. He opened Exclusive Resin Supply to take that guesswork out of the trade, and to give installers access to the systems he trusts enough to put down himself.

Why this exists

The shelf we wish we had starting out.

Give contractors proven systems instead of a catalog of guesses. It grew into something bigger: a place where knowledge is shared freely instead of hidden behind gatekeeping, and where the standard of the resinous flooring trade gets pulled up by real support, real education and real opportunities for contractors to succeed.

How the shelf earns trust

  • On the slab. Every system goes down on a real floor under real conditions before it earns shelf space.
  • Under the lamp. Color, flow and finish are judged the way your customer will judge them, in working light.
  • Over time. If a product cannot hold up to traffic and abuse, it does not get to fail on your job.

One building, three jobs

Supply, training and install under one roof.

392 W Larch Rd in Tracy is the shop the Exclusive Resins install crews work out of. It is home to Exclusive Resin Supply, stocking Simiron and JP Resin systems, house-blended flake, metallic pigments and diamond tooling for pros and serious DIYers. And it is home to The Resin Lab, where installers come for hands-on prep, flake and metallic training.

That matters for your order. We sell what we install and teach, so we know how it behaves, from pot life on a hot valley afternoon to how a metallic moves under a roller.

Questions from the bench

About the house.

Who owns Exclusive Resin Supply?

Mario Castaneda. He founded Exclusive Resins, the install company, in 2021 and opened the supply house and The Resin Lab in the same Tracy building so the products he installs with are the ones on the shelf.

Who will I talk to when I call?

Usually Chris, who manages the store day to day: orders, will-call, freight and the questions that come with them. Mario is in and out of the shop between jobs and classes.

Are you a contractor or a supplier?

Both, in a sense. Mario is a licensed California contractor who now also runs a supply house and a training academy. That field experience is why the shelf is curated the way it is.

Do you really test everything?

Yes. Nothing goes up for sale until it has been run on an actual pour. That is the whole point of the place.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. We ship anywhere in the country from Tracy, California, and local pickup is ready the same day at the bench.

Who runs the company day to day?

Exclusive Resin Supply is veteran-managed, and we hire veterans. We are part of the Lathrop Chamber of Commerce and sponsor local youth sports.
