Running Simiron Polyaspartic HS for a one-day floor
Workflow · 5 min read

A crew can walk onto a garage at eight, grind, coat, broadcast, and topcoat, and the customer parks on it that evening. Simiron Polyaspartic HS is what makes that timeline real. It cures fast, it stays UV stable, and it shrugs off traffic. The chemistry is working for you. The clock is not, and that is the part that decides whether the day goes clean.
Pot life is the whole game
This is where installers coming off epoxy get caught. Epoxy gives you a long, forgiving working window. Polyaspartic HS does not. It sets fast by design, which means you mix in batches small enough to lay down before the bucket kicks. Mix a comfortable epoxy-sized batch and you will be scraping a solid mass out of a pail while your section flashes over without you.
Speed is only an advantage if you respect the pot life. Mix what you can lay.
The sequence, in order
- Grind to a clean open profile, because the bond is won here, not at the coating
- Vacuum and detail every speck of dust, since dust under polyaspartic becomes a defect you cannot fix later
- Cut in and roll the base in sections you can actually broadcast before it sets
- Broadcast flake or color to refusal while the coat is still wet
- Scrape and prep once it cures enough to walk, then clear the loose
- Topcoat with the Simiron Polyaspartic HS clear, and the floor is done
Where it goes wrong
Almost every one-day failure traces back to one of two things, and neither is the product. The first is prep: a slab that was not profiled right will not hold the coat no matter how good the resin is. The second is timing: a batch mixed too big sets before it is down, and a section left open too long flashes before you broadcast. Run the system a few times and both of those stop happening.
If you are setting up to offer one-day floors with this line, call the bench and tell us your crew size and your typical garage. We will spec the Simiron stack and the quantities so your pot-life batches match your pace and your first one goes down clean.

Rooted here
Tracy, California, and proud of it.
The owner wanted a community where knowledge gets shared instead of guarded, and that starts with the town you work in. Here that means a seat in the Lathrop Chamber of Commerce and sponsoring Lathrop Little League and the Junior Spartans. Customers now order from across the country, and it all ships from one bench in the valley.
We ship coast to coast. This bench is still home.
