SimironThe academy
Where epoxy contractors level up.
Hands-on training built from the mistakes that cost real money. Learn the systems, the prep, and the failure points before they show up on a customer’s floor.

Who it is for
For the installer who wants to stop guessing.
This whole company started because the owner learned the hard way, on his own floors, with his own money. The academy exists so you do not have to. You work alongside someone who has poured the systems you are about to sell, and you leave knowing why floors fail, not just how to make them shiny.
Bring a notebook. Bring questions. Bring the crew if you have one.
Knowledge here is shared, not gatekept.

How the day runs
You pour, you do not just watch.
Morning
The system on a whiteboard, then prep and mix on a real slab.
Midday
You lay the coat. Mistakes happen here, where they are free.
Afternoon
Topcoat, troubleshoot, and talk pricing for the work you take home.
Who is teaching
A working owner-operator, not a rep.
Mario owns the shop, tests the products and teaches the classes, and Chris runs the counter day to day. You are learning from the person whose name is on the door and whose reputation rides on the floors going out of it. No reps, no scripts, no theory you cannot use on Monday.
How a class runs
A day at the academy, start to finish.
Class starts on a real slab, not a whiteboard. The first hour is prep: reading the concrete, running a moisture check, and getting honest about what the grinder has to take off before anything gets poured. Everyone runs the machine. If you have never walked a grinder before, this is where you learn what a proper profile feels like under your feet, because the coating only holds what the prep earns.
Mid-day is mixing and pouring. You measure, you mix to spec, you watch the clock, and you learn what pot life actually means when the bucket is going off in your hand instead of in a paragraph. Metallic classes pour a full metallic floor and work the pigment while it moves. Flake classes broadcast to rejection and learn the scrape. Every mistake that can happen on your job site happens here first, where it costs nothing but a lesson.

The afternoon is topcoat and takeaway. You seal the floor, walk the finished work, and leave with the kit list, the ratios, and the phone number that answers when your first solo pour asks a question the class did not cover. Bring your crew and the whole team learns the same sequence the same way, which is worth more than any single trick we could teach you. Classes stay small on purpose: everybody pours, nobody watches from the back row.
Dates get set around the shop’s own schedule, so call the bench or send a note through the contact page and we will slot you into the next open class. Everything you train on comes off the same shelf we sell from, so the system you learn is the system you can order the day you are ready. Come in workboots, bring every question you have, and plan on driving home tired in the best possible way.
Questions from the bench
Training, answered straight.
Who is the training for?
Working installers, new contractors, and serious DIY pros. If you pour floors or want to start, you will get something out of it. Want the workflow first? Read our step-by-step install guide, then come do it with your hands.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just work clothes you do not mind ruining. Materials and tooling are provided. We tell you what to bring when you book a date.
Where does training happen?
At our shop in Tracy, California. Reach out and we will line up the next available date that fits your schedule.
Is this a sales pitch for your products?
No. You learn the systems and the failure points. We stock good material, but the training stands on its own.
Can you train my whole crew?
Yes. Bring the crew and we will tailor the day to the work you actually take on. Call the owner to set it up.
Rooted here
Tracy, California, and proud of it.
We are a member of the Lathrop Chamber of Commerce and we sponsor the kids who play here, from Lathrop Little League to the Junior Spartans. We ship to crews all over the country now, but every order still leaves this bench in the valley.
We ship coast to coast. This bench is still home.
